The student body of North Rowan was 580!

"The Northern Lights" was dedicated to Mr. Charles Robert Dunlap, Band Director.

Millie Mahaffey was awarded the DAR Award.

Lex Graham was selected as President of the Student Council.

Marsha Gemayel and Millie Mahaffey were selected to attend Girls' State.

Margaret Hackett was chosen as recipient of the Americanism Award and attended Governor's School

Kitty Wilson and Chip Weddington were crowned Queen and King of the prom.

Nancy Shoaf, escorted by Melvin Brinkley was crowned Homecoming Queen.

North Rowan played East Rowan for the Homecoming game!  (However, North was not victorious)

North Rowan eighty member band travel to New York City as a North Carolina representative group at the Lions International Convention.

The sixty-one member chorus present Handel's "MESSIAH". Mr. Charles Dunlap, Chorus Director, Barry Alley and Judy Wise, Assistants.  Susan Eagle was the pianist. 

The Varsity Football coach was Burton Barger. Doug Owens was the Trainer and L. Rabon and M. Poteat were the Managers.

Boys' Varsity Basketball Coach was Walter Baker. The Girl's Varsity Baskerball Coach was Miss Ingold.

The Wrestling Coach was Ralph Shatterly.

Burton Barger was the Track Coach.

Baseball was led by Coach Gary Jarrett.
