Dear North Rowan Alumni,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce an educational fund raising program offered by "Food Lion". Food Lion takes pride in being part of the communities in which it serves. They wish to work together in community based schools with teachers, students and non-profit organizations to help students stay in school and improve learning by offering supplemental educational programs.
The North Rowan Alumni Association Board Of Directors approved the following Food Lion program which is an easy, convenient and on going way to raise money. We would like to ask your help in this simple fund raising program. The BOD voted that all funds raised by this program go directly into the NRAA scholarship programs.
The program is called "Lion Shop & Share". Food Lion customers link their MVP cards to the North Rowan Alumni Association. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to the North Rowan Alumni Association. Checks are sent to the Lion Shop & Share organizations approximately six weeks after a quarter ends. You only need to register your MVP card 1 (one) time and your card will automatically continue to be linked to the North Rowan Alumni Association forever. If you decide at a later date to link to another organization, you may do so! (however, we hope you don't). Also, we must have 25 MVP cards linked to the NRAA to even begin receiving money. This program does not cost you as a shopper/consumer any money. Also, no personal information is needed to link your MVP card.
Listed below are 3 (three) easy ways to link your MVP card to the North Rowan Alumni Association.
Remember all that is needed is your name and the 12 digit number off your MVP card! That's it! No address, no email info or personal data is needed. It does ask for your telephone number, the Food Lion representative said you may put all "O" (zeros) if you wish. You will need to know the following answers to the 2 (two) questions.
Spencer, North Carolina (Where North Rowan Alumni Association is located) and the name of the organization "North Rowan Alumni Association".
NOTE: It does require all 12 digits! On your MVP card there is a "small" number in the front, 10 large numbers in the middle, and a small ending number. It takes all 12 digits to register!
1. You may reply to this email with your name and 12 digit card number and I will be HAPPY to register your MVP card for you!
2. You may call Food Lion at 1-704-633-8250 Ext 3810, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm ET. A Food Lion representative will link it for you.

Click "Good Neighbors"
Click "In The Community"
Click "Lion Shop & Share"
Click "Register MVP" Cards
Click "Select Organization"
and answer the questions.
Again, if you do not wish to register with all the "CLICKS", I will be glad to register your MVP card for you! Just reply to this email with your 12 digit number and your name.
Please contact all your friends, neighbors, relatives, anyone with an MVP card can register and support the North Rowan Alumni Association. You DO NOT need to be a member of the Association to support this program! You can help the Association no matter what state you live in, just shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card! Forward this email to everyone in your address book! The more MVP cards we register, the more folks that shop at Food Lion and use the MVP card, the more money we generate into the scholarship fund!
Check out the "FOOD LION" page on our web site http://www.nrhscavaliers.com/ and I will keep the total amount received each quarter posted on the web site. There is a maximum cap of $350 per organization per quarter! But realize, if we can cap out each quarter, that will mean $1400 a year EXTRA into our scholarship program.
