NEWSLETTER
To The Alumni,
As of this month, we are starting a newsletter page on our website. The purpose of the newsletter is to keep you informed of ongoing events, projects and decisions that we are working on at our meetings.
First, we need a name for our newsletter. So, for the next six months, we are asking all Alumni members to email their suggestions for the name of the newsletter to 4u2contact@nrhscavaliers.com At the meetings, we will narrow the suggestions to five potential names and then the Alumni will vote on line to select the winner. We encourage all members to participate and get your other classmates involved.
Another project that we have in the works is to open a web page for each graduating class from North Rowan High School. This will allow each class to post their individual information such as reunion information, class projects and personal information that your classmates may be interested in. We are limited in manpower, so please be patient. Or better yet, participate with us at monthly meetings and help get these projects completed.
Currently we are working on finalizing our By-Laws for our incorporation. Once this is accomplished, we can move forward to obtain our non-profit status. The Alumni Association can them proceed with raising funds for the Memorial Scholarship.
Please take time to visit the "Scholarship page" as we have posted this year's selections. Let me say that this year was the most difficult in making our selections. Every application was outstanding and they were all winners. We should all be very proud of the graduating class of 2007. Best of luck to the entire class.
In summation, please participate in selecting the newsletter name. Get involved in the Alumni Association and attend our meetings. They are very informal and open discussion is encouraged. Who knows, you may have the next great idea for the committee. We need classes from the 1974-1985 to get involved in the 50-year celebration. We have no representatives from these classes.
Remember, this is our school, our past and our future. I INVITE YOU TO BE A PART OF YOUR FUTURE!
